2013 Ghana Christmas Miracle Offering Results
Living Word Church in Wildwood collected $253,893.19 in December for The Ghana Project. The Rev. Michael McIntyre, lead pastor, challenged church members and friends to spend half of what they would have spent on gifts for family and friends at Christmas this year and give the other half to children in Ghana who are dying because they lack basic necessities – clean water, food and medicine. On Christmas Eve, 1353 people attended worship and presented their “Ghana Christmas Miracle Offering”. All of the funds raised will go to people in Ghana. Through The Ghana Project the church is working with communities in Northern Ghana to improve water supplies and sanitation facilities and to build schools and churches. Since 2010, more than $900,000 has been collected for The Ghana Project. The Ghana Project is an ongoing effort. To make a donation or learn more, visit our donation page.
